Finally being so used to MAC OS over these years  I decided to make a full plung into the world of Hackintosh.  My powerbook G3 Lombard is now retired and failing (more on it to follow soon – its just such a nice piece of hardware to throw away).  Intel Macbook Aluminum is going Good still and motivating me to try this as primary OS.

My  PC Specs roughly are: AMD 3200+  (SSE2 only)

2 GB Ram,  And allot of disk space spanned across different drives  MSI 6600GT Pci Express (nvdarwin 256MB)

Main Windows 7 OS runs on Raid 0 on 3 X 160GB Sata II drives,  i will leave them as they are and work on it as needed.

I have an 80GB IDE drive for OSX86.  The patched retail OSX version atempted is 10.5.1 (working to get it updated with appropriate kexts)

More to follow soon + tutorial of how i got it done.   So far i had to change to an older Geforce 6660GT card to get Quartz Extreme and Core Image.  But its working wonders and i dont mind since i never spent a penny on it.  Just had to change ApppleYukon.kext to get my 88E8053 Pci Express Gigabit Lan Card working.

OH yeah anyone needing tips.  use seatbelt FIX from iDeneb  - otherwise disk utility will crash on you.

I will make a full fledged hardware list with how i got up and running to a functionality.  A mac is always gona be a mac and there is no comparison.  I love my macbook  but i want to escape from win 7 on the hardware i currently have.  Dont really game coz i have a PS3 for that now & quite happy with it.

Keep following up, as i will make an attempt to run snow leo with sse2 with sse3 emulation on it soon.  Still trying t find the best kernel.

UPDATE: I had network issues with 10.5.6, mainly when using utorrent or any p2p. The entire net access would come to a halt.  This got me to update to 10.5.8 in a desperate attempt to get any use out of this.  I have now updated it to 10.5.8 using ideneb combo upgrade kit. Also updated to XNU 9.8 V2 kernel version and seems pretty stable running every app i have thrown at it. If any one needs instruction ask me and i will put up a tutorial.

Next step will be to try Snow Leo with SSE3 Emulation on another hard drive since my AMD is only SSE2. Will post update when i get around that.

UPDATE: 15/04/2011 – Just tried to make a transition with existing install onto 10.6.3. It gets stuck on the installer.  Trying with iATKOS S3 Version 2.  I am stuck on examining disk.  A little google revealed i am not the only one and there are other distro’s that get past this problem.   Will work on it tomorrow now and see how it goes.  If all goes well i will post an updated article from Scratch on how i got there. This time i will not be trying to update and working on it from scratch to build a stable usable OS X system.

My Aim is to get stable until 10.6.7  with SSE 2 Emulation Kernel with only AMD 3200+ SSE2 CPU with 2GB DDR1 RAM and a little room to spare for OS at the moment 80GB.   I do have secondary sata HDD’s  that i will connect back in once all is fine.  I have seen this happen so i am gonna try to achieve it.

10.5.8 Is working perfect at the moment, just minor crashes when i try to make it stress with classic mac progies but nothing major,  It is my primary OS for now.

INDIA has done it.  I am so happy and excited.  Stayed up all night to watch the match and got special subscription on the last mintute. totaly worth it.  Dhoni finished in style with a  Six.  Feel sorry for Gautam Gambhir since he got out at 97 after playing so good, too bad he missed his 100 but hey India won.

Oh Yeah.

Good game  and finally india has the world cup after 1983.

 Not that i care about it much but it got the fool made out of me LOL.  The image i linked for the UFO article in Tribuneindia was the culprit since it all started after that update.  I guess i will delete the article soon too.  Any how this will get me to redesign and sort out the site in coming days.  I will leave the search bar at the moment but it will be updated soon, and i think i will get rid of adds all together.  They are kinda Lame. dunno why i put them there

UPDATE: Taken adsense off and put site search on for now since google powered site search with related topics was not functioning. I think i will only place custom adds in rotation now if this does not get resolved. If anyone wants  link exchange contact me.
