Macbook Aluminum LAN Party

Hey guys i recently got a comment about Macs and Gaming in Future on youtube. What started the debate was discussion about apple computer coming up with new multi-touch mouse along with new updated product line.

Well in terms of gaming the way i see it Macs have come a long way.  No longer are they wearing the Power PC shackles and now roam around with true 64bit OS – Snow Leopard.  The introduction of Intel CPU’S was a good decision by apple because now it is able to run windows and all of windows world apps as native.  I cant believe there are still people out there who think that mac users Don’t/Cant play games. I personally have nothing against PC users i have a PC desktop (Windows 7) which is serving as a fileserver on network very well.  I work with PC Desktops everyday, Its just that i prefer to use Mac’s and there is a reason behind it which non mac users will never know of (Hackintosh Alternative is not a full Stable Mac Experience).

Well there are some popular windows games ported for macs but BootCamp allows you to run everything. PC Laptops with massive noisy fans and dust stuck-up vents usually heat up under extreme gaming sessions, and GPU can fail pretty soon from all the heat trapped inside.  The new Macbooks are made of aluminum and hence act as a heat sink for internal components.  We are talking about apple engineering. :)

Here is a small clip of me and some friends having a random LAN party Fun time blasting each other off.  I captured it on my Macbook right there and then because i wanted to post a response to stupid comments such as “Macs cant play games”. Read the rest of this entry »
